Mission: fix weak signal

Most 'my network is rubbish' moments are one room, one wall, one setting. Run this combo before blaming anyone.

cenioklo is an independent info site. Zero connection to Three, O2, Sky, EE, Vodafone or anyone else โ€” their names only mark what a page is about. We never take payments, never see accounts, never ask for codes or card details. For anything about your bill or contract, your network's official line (printed on your bill) is the right call. Ours (020 3996 8779, standard landline rate) is for general guidance only.

Walkthrough

Six free moves, best order

  1. Wi-Fi Calling ON

iPhone: Settings โ†’ Mobile Data โ†’ Wi-Fi Calling. Android: Settings โ†’ Connections/Network โ†’ Wi-Fi Calling (names vary). Calls now ride your broadband, normal number. Toggle missing? Your provider may need to enable it โ€” or may not support it on your brand. Confirm officially.

  2. 4G Calling (VoLTE) ON

3G is switched off across the networks โ€” calls need the 4G layer. Some phones shipped with it off.

  3. The 10-second reset

Airplane mode on โ†’ count ten โ†’ off. Forces the strongest local mast. Clears a silly share of "stuck on one bar".

  4. Update everything

Carrier-settings updates carry real network fixes.

  5. Move one metre

Window beats inner wall; upstairs beats basement. Insulation and glazing are the real villains.

  6. Status page BEFORE panic

Postcode into the network's status checker โ€” planned mast work explains most sudden outages in ten seconds.

Still broken after all six?If promised coverage genuinely doesn't exist, gather dated evidence over weeks (checker screenshots, failed-call logs), complain in writing, and use the free ombudsman if it stalls โ€” your rights. Asking in writing for penalty-free release is fair when a service truly fails.
